To Change Asset Location on a Map

You can change an asset's location by moving it to a different location on the map (for point locations), or by altering the vertices on a spatial location.

Follow these steps to change the an asset's location on a map.

On the map, locate the asset for which you want to change its location.
If the asset location is a point shape, then select the point shape and drag it to its new location. The linear location information updates automatically.
If the asset location is a network location, then you can
1. Add a vertex by clicking on the geometry edge where no vertex currently exists.
2. Delete a vertex by clicking on it. The perimeter shape will adjust to the remaining vertices.
3. Select and drag each vertex that you want to move, and then release when the vertex is at the desired location.
On the Add Location dialog, you can enter a Description about the location, in the box provided, and select the calendar icon ( ) to enter a Start date of the asset location.
Note: The Start date must not be a future date, nor can it be earlier than its parent asset's start date.
Click Save location.

The asset location is updated.
